The New Display of Lithuanian Art is a permanent exhibition of works in the national collection dating from the beginning of the 20th century to WWII. Divided into four thematic sections – Reality, Expectations and Visions, Art and State, Who Are We? and Tensions – it looks at the legacy of artists who worked in Vilnius in the early 20th century and during the inter-war period. Both official, state-sponsored art styles as well as bolder artistic experiments are highlighted. In addition to paintings, sculptures and graphic works, the exhibition also includes photography, animation, applied art and book graphics. ndg.lt
