Yves Klein Intimate at Hotel de Caumont Centre d’Art (until Mar 26) comprises around 60 works by the Nice-born artist, offering a personal and intimate perspective on an artist whose oeuvre is otherwise public, even spectacular, in nature. One of the most famous French artists of the second half of the 20th century, Klein died in 1962 aged only 34. Since then his work has gained international recognition, particularly for his intense, brilliant ultramarine – the famous IKB (International Klein Blue) – which he patented.
