The city’s most unusual cultural centre, the Bassins des Lumières (Pools of Lights), is a former WWII submarine base where monumental exhibitions are projected on the enormous walls and ceilings and reflected in the waters. During Dali, The Endless Enigma (until Jan 7, 2024) visitors are immersed in surrealistic and metaphysical landscapes, as iconic works such as The Persistence of Memory are brought to life in high definition showing every brushstroke – all accompanied by a soundtrack by Pink Floyd.
